Trading activity like that has been a permanent fixture over the past 24 months and management are complicit through inaction. In fact, the most recent raising went to the same players who methodically stepped the share price down over the past 24 months - using shares issued as part of previous raisings. Not sure what the end goal is but management are happy to standby and even support the activity by continually issuing shares to these players - hopefully accumulation is the end goal and not something more nefarious.

How does it work? The single trades are used to detect buy/sell orders which provide an unfair advantage. They use automated systems which by using these tactics, can effectively control the market. Namely, they can detect orders before you can and also react before further trades are executed. This detection of orders can serve two purposes. One, they can undercut a seller or two, they can buy ahead of the queue. For example, lets say there are orders at 45 and 46 cents with nothing showing at 45.5 cents. These clowns can put up single share buy orders every millisecond at 45.5 and if a trade executes, they know there is a seller likely willing to sell at 45 cents. Before the order is fully processed (the entire parcel is sold - at this stage only1 share traded), their system can automatically enter a larger buy order at 45.5 allowing them to purchase the entire parcel. This means the sellers shares will execute at 45.5 cents - allowing the dodgy player to jump the queue and accumulate without showing their hand. They can also use chi-x as part of the strategy which conceals the activity further.

If accumulation is not their intended outcome and instead they want to offload discretely, they could feed single share sell orders at 45.5 cents - if one is bought they know there is a buyer, likely willing to pay 46 cents, in which case their system can automatically put a buy order in at 45.5 cents before the order goes to the next person, again jumping the queue but this time for purpose of selling.
