With respect to your final paragraph, I can say you don't need to go anywhere. Posters over on the short term trading board compiled a knowledge library which has 3 'books'.

My reason for my query in the first instance was that I sensed your entry seemed late if your exit delivered a break even. One of my rules is late entries are 'verboten'. I got in at 2.5c and I consider that too late but I console myself in believing there'll be plenty of upside provided I hold. (I've been on hiatus for a while due to medical events and AZY was such a good trade for me in 2016, its recent price action broke my inactivity and in I went - albeit a bit late.)

Early entry is a must. Folding too early makes me cringe. And as 'cate88' posted this week: the profits are in the sitting according to Livermore.

So, there's a lot to sift thru in those 3 'books' but I imagine you'll have some summer reading time coming up soon. The main things to look for and formulate: finding candidates early, entry rules, holding rules, exit rules, stop loss rules, record keeping and making notes. The point of it all is to remove whims and emotions from your game.

There's a lovely quirk in the MACD that helps me to keep holding in a trade. It's the 'hit n run' signal. The trigger line is running above the other line and pulls back to touch the line and takes off again. Sometimes the trigger line hangs as a U or V above the other line and then takes off again.
