Hi Brad...yep...trading...investing can be a real bitch at times and can cost us bigtime.
It has for me too, but you try and learn from those mistakes and keep on learning. You never stop learning.
One thing you said in that post was... "I’ll wait for the highs and sell half"
IMO for new traders/investors buying into smallcap stocks...that would be my #1 bit of advice.
If a sp doubles...sell half to retain all your initial capital...then you are "free carried" to let the rest run without fear of loss.
"Black Swan" events can and do happen overnight...over which we have no control....so getting to "free carried" negates the worry.
The 2nd: Never fall in love with the stock....as you'll invariably make irrational decisions.
I've been there....done that...almost wiped me out.
For invvestors...its never just about what the particular company is doing, but keeping a close eye on what the broader market is doing.
Anyhow GLTA types of investors..whether that be..ST..LT..there's room for us all to make a $.
