I have a background in mining and investment.
I agree with you that Palm Springs looks an amazing opportunity....basically a ready made pit, with great historical data with long mining licences in place and with fantastic exploration upside, open down dip to the south and similar structures repeating along the strike with extensive folding and faulting in the area.
Juruena....High and bonanza grades, smaller intercepts ....If they can increase the resource confidence
(inferred to indicated) and increase the size with the current price of gold and the projected increases of such then Juruena becomes economical. -
PRESS HEREAs well they are trying to prove up the porphyry connection to the high grade epithermal deposits of Dona Maria and Querosene.
(The big majors like Anglo American are in the area trying to do the same) Now they have some clues in the high grade copper/gold intercept found in the breccia recently, and as well MEI are following up the long copper/gold intercept found at Crentes which matches geophysical interpretations below. If they can prove that connection and find the source that could be a company maker increasing the size of the deposit substantially and obtaining copper credits to offset costs.
Juruena is a complicated system but if they can interpret it correctly it could be a real smokie.
Palm Springs is more straightforward and they are very keen with more rigs involved including both RC and DD than only the one rig at Juruena.
The good thing is we are an exploration company which means the SP has the capacity to increase exponentially on exploration results, and there have been some good examples of that this year such as RXL multi-bagging after results. I will also add having a mine and long term mining licences puts us way more advanced than many other explorers, so we have a two pronged attack of being an explorer and a medium term mining prospect!, and who knows, a future takeover target!
