Public road connecting various villages, and potentially cities.
The road has exits to A-Main and the Northern pits (with gates). I'd guess the trucks from the Northern pits crossed this road. The road is not highway size, so maybe sort of cheap to rebuild. There may be gold under this road. (I don't recollect if there's existing drilling, but the trend between pits is clear)

Diverting the road would be say a 2-3km road, adding 1-2km to the villagers' trips. Maybe they'd agree to it if we promised 4 lanes or more jobs...though the remainder of the road would still be small.
