They would be free to show historical drilling of Quartz to show whether stripping is what is holding back grade from the plants, or whether Quartz has lower grade in the shallows. We've had Quartz for like 2 decades, so there should be some drilling existing. It's so far back that it would be hard for me to find this info.
Or they could improve transparency by declaring:
X tonnes of Ore milled at what grade.
Combined with:
X tonnes of stockpiles milled at what grade.
Possibly hard to declare an accurate value though? Since they may not test the values thoroughly before it enters the plant, just calculate once it comes out the other side.
It would show whether mining is on a positive trajectory. Eg. If mining was improving, but old stockpiles were worsening, it would not really be a bad thing for the quarter to be 0.39g/t total. It would mean that mining is trending in the right direction, and will continue to do so now that more equipment has arrived. However, if mining was weak, and no reason given why, then they're just hiding info from us.
