Shortings alone is not the dominant factor on SP plunging. Yesterday's shorts was only 11K out of 713K = 1.5%. Manipulative selling is another major factor. Collectively they created panics and brought in more weak hands to dump, as shown in the chart, the steep SP drop always happened in "short burst" with high volume.
I've never seen a good profitable company SP dropped over 80% in eight months, though it is not uncommon for highly speculative micro (digging) mining companies. But, as I said, patiently accumulate. Just bought more today. And will continue to do so as SP drop more.
