I spent my university years working part time dispensing meds in a community pharmacy.
"Would you like a cheaper generic brand if available" was pushed on practically every prescription brought in ... Because generics were higher margin for the pharmacy than brand name.
Doctors have been specifing "No generic substitution" for at least, over a decade.
Purely in my opinion, doctors blocking generic substitution if far more appropriate than pharmacies pushing biosimilars at consumers.
