Imo it is the targeting of the biotech sector. This is happening at a global level. We had a similar bounce after the 6 month data, 20%+, like yesterday before price retreated. Oxxa's broker data at the time showed that insto's like Macquarie were buying and selling similar amounts on the same day. I would not be surprised if these instos are shorting on the bounce and then closing out positions on the same day. So while we might not see it in the daily shorts, there is shorting going on.
