Hi Robsmark
Not really a trader. With a few exceptions.
Over the years I have been in and out of gold mining stocks , can't cross promote but usually I traded EV* currently out and have been for a long time.
There are a handful of my long term stocks whereby I got in early and when I thought they had gone up too fast and got to over bought status (there are a number of signals that I look for on the chart) , I sell a portion to bank some profit ( a third or a half) and then watch the chart to see if the SP starts to decline , then I set some buy back in targets at lower prices. I have managed to free carry some of these stocks if it works about three times over the years. N*N and AL* comes to mind. The are some I partially free carry.
Not a perfect technique, there some that started to decline that didn't my buy back target and then rose beyond my selling point, but I still held a portion. WT* comes to mind. But that's life on the markets.
Then there are a handful that I just don't play games with too much risk in being greedy and taking profits and the missing out. BRN fall into this category for me. Some of these long term hold stocks are currently underwater, no worries I am in for the long haul. There is one of my underwater stocks that I fully expect to turn in the next 3-4 months.
I first got into BRN at 0.08 seed capital, since have had two more buys. Never sold any. Like them very much long term , but it will be a bumpy ride on the way up. There are 1.7 billion shares on issue , that's a huge number, so I expect that with every surge in SP , there will be profit taking retracements along the way until the sellers start to fade out.
Also with BRN the timeline for future development ( therefore income) is unknown. Periods of a lack of news will be test the patience of many share holders. Just look at the period early Jun to Oct the SP fell from 063 to 0.37 just on the lack of news , nothing else.
If we get to my first target zone in the 0.70 - 0.75 range watch the profit takers line up
The technology will have an impact on the world , no doubt. It just about the speed in the depth of adoption , penetration and who we make deals with.
Hope I have helped answer your questions
Just my opinions, DYOR.
cheers Lies
