If Mercedes state (publicly) that they are using Brainchip Akida in their cars, and Brainchip publish an article to this effect on their website - then you can take that to the bank. A material announcement has likely not been releases due to other factors (NDA, ongoing negotiations, ASX intervening, whatever).
