Does anyone actually think the Universe or ASX computer or any of the thousands of other " Broker & Insto" computers care a
damn about a 'Gap" in the stock price ?? Are you "Gappers" giving support to belief that the computers are "alive" and in communication as a "Collective" [ the BORG perhaps?] and decide to smash a stock down 75% just to..........FILL IN A GAP?? Are you crazy? Listen to yourselfs!
HUMANS decide to smash a stock price down to "cover " a gap. Because they TALK themselfs into it!

As an ex-Fundie I can assure you the Professionals KNOW...... that when enough of you RETAIL talk about a gap, that its "EASY" for them in control to take advantage of this and make it a reality and for them to PROFIT from it.
Gap talk is done by those wanting to take advantage of a major SP drop such as down rampers, "shorters", Pip traders and DT's who are all people that do not hold the stock short term or long term so can benefit from a big drop in SP.
Humans are just so predictable.
