To my knowledge there is no other commercial AI microchip in which Mercedes can use!
Mercedes is moving rapidly to EV. Three main criteria they are looking at:
1/ conservation of energy
2/ new smarter technology than their competitor
3/ something that contribute to their "luxury" image
These are huge marketing advantage that will sell their cars and they have been doing this throughout their history.
Brainchip's Akida is the ONLY choice if they want to upgrade their computing system. Unless Akida somehow only does <50% of what it has been purported to do then Mercedes will definitely adopt Akida. Mercedes is not going to wait another 2-3 years for something else. If it rejects Akida then it will be back to the current technology that everyone has so knowing and owning Mercedes in the last 20 years, it is not going to make and launch just a mediocre EV.
I don't see Akida failing dismally in the concept car so just remember, when Mercedes or Brainchip makes that announcement that Akida will be adopted in all Mercedes' EV's, the SP will skyrocket. Every other EV makers will scramble to use Akida...I'm sure they are privately looking at Akida already.
Just make sure you bought your ticket on this rocket ship!
