Never just look at total of buy and sell orders it really is meaningless.
Look at the spread. For example when I looked at CommSec sell it showed 26 million 13 million of which were at prices above 90 cents to over $1.00. The 80 to 90 cent spread seemed large but did not bother adding up.
People stack with fake orders that can fool the lazy. Even less intelligent investors can learn to add up the spreads.
Once you have the real numbers then you can decide what is happening.
