So young and so much to learn about. LOL

Here is a time frame for you. My wife and I have been married for 44 years last year. Not particularly long after we were married the building society where we had our mega savings became the Advance Bank. It offered shares and we mustered together $900 and bought as much of our entitlement as this allowed. Through various forms this company became Westpac. That original $900 has paid dividends every year for the forty odd years and in due course when we did not need those dividends we switched to their dividend reinvestment scheme after it became St George Bank and it has grown against this background unmolested to be about 6,700 shares in Westpac.

So to me your idea that 2 to 3 years is a long time is rather amusing. LOL
