The problem is all these guys have been doing soil sampling over land which has been ploughed for 100 years. Its all mixed in. But they've filled the labs with soil so its a 3 month wait for them to realise soils are a waste of time, and the labs are so overloaded you can't get results for RC and diamond.
Many explorers in the Julimar region have wasted an entire season using bad exploration strategy. Its not the Goldfields where the soil horizon has developed for million of years.
