We will have a good indication by Wednesday afternoon / evening. If Biden takes all the states he is predicted to win then it's pretty much game over and we will wait for the senate race over the next couple of days. It is expected to be overwhelmingly in his favor 2 days before the election. We should all be excited for a green new deal.

Kamala Harris Could Make Joe Biden's Climate Plan Even Stronger Biden and Harris both support the Green New Deal and environmental justice policies.

Throughout her political career, Harris has been a major proponent of climate change proposals. Before Harris was officially selected as the VP nominee, most recently she worked with Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY-14) on the Climate Equality Act of 2020 that "would require the government to make stronger consideration of racial and economic inequalities in its environmental policies," per The Hill. (This is a pillar of the Green New Deal, and part of Biden's overall climate plan. More on that below.) Additionally, Harris' original climate plan as a 2020 presidential nominee included holding polluters accountable for their actions and "investing $10 trillion in public and private funding to meet the initial 10-year mobilization necessary to stave off the worst climate impacts."

How Joe Biden's climate plan compares to the Green New Deal

Biden's climate plan would lay out $2 trillion over 4 years towards clean energy and infrastructure, which he says will create "millions" of jobs and move the U.S. closer to a carbon-free future. (For comparison, the cost, while expensive, it is still short of the one-year, $2.2 trillion price tag for U.S. coronavirus stimulus measures to date.)
