Bioeffective B Commercialisation Update
The Directors of Solagran Limited are pleased to provide an update on commercialisation
activities in relation to Bioeffective B.
The Bioeffective B Sauna Therapy Range was formally introduced to the trade at the
Interbad Expo in Düsseldorf at the end of September where it was very well received. It had
already been previewed by key players in the international sauna industry at the 14th
International Sauna Congress which was held in Helsinki in August.
Over the past few months, Bioeffective B has been trialled successfully by professional
soccer players and members of national wrestling teams in both Scandinavia and the Baltic
States. As a result of these trials, it is continuing to be used by both groups of sportsmen.
The national wrestling federations of Sweden, Finland and Estonia have together made an
initial purchase of 1,000 single application capsules for use by their elite competitors.
The Swedish world champion ice hockey team is currently part way through a
comprehensive Bioeffective B trial, as are a small number of well-known Australian
representative sportsmen from whom the feedback so far has been very positive.
Solagran’s participation at Interbad was intended mainly to secure distributors for the
consumables channels in five key target markets of Finland, Germany, Russia, Sweden and
Hungary. The opportunity was also taken to lock in distribution for other countries.
In addition to the sauna manufacturer channel in which Solagran will now use a combination
of Tylo and Saunatec distributors, there are three principal consumables channels: gym
supplies, spa supplies and retail (including online). Appropriate distributors have been
identified in each of these segments and a number of appointments have been made in
Finland, Hungary and the UK. Negotiations are progressing with distributors from Germany,
Russia and Sweden with further appointments expected soon.
Solagran has also been approached by one of its new consumables channel distributors with
an offer to distribute the range in North America, once they have had more experience with
the products and demonstrated a successful track record.
In Australia, the sauna manufacturer channel will be served by the local distributors of Tylo
and Saunatec saunas (Sauna & Steam and Finnleo). Initial orders valued at around $2,000
each have been received from both groups. A special wooden gift box containing the
Bioeffective B range has been developed specifically for the sauna manufacturer channel.
These packs have a recommended retail price of $165, but Solagran is aware that the sauna
manufacturers are intending to offer these packs as gifts for customers who purchase a new
sauna – as a means of building the consumables part of their business.

Melbourne-based Hygolet has been appointed national distributor for the gym supplies
channel and has also placed its initial order. The Solagran sales team is now focussing on
supporting Hygolet in selling into the major gym operators. An initial sampling program has
proved very successful with excellent feedback from those gyms selected to trial the product
on behalf of their network or group. One gym decided to stock the Bioeffective B range after
a trial lasting only two weeks due to the amount of positive feedback that was received from
its members.
An appointment is expected soon for the Australian spa supplies channel, however until a
distributor is appointed, Solagran will serve it directly. Orders have already been received
from leading spa operators including Peppers at Hepburn Springs.
Discussions are progressing with a number of sporting groups and player associations.
The initial product range will be available in Australia from the beginning of next week.
