As someone holding brk's partner in this well. My humble thoughts are as follows{
The spud date is critical as for lack of a better term "the show is on the road". No more talking or delays gives confidence this is now real.
When spudding and drilling the casing, I would imagine the drilling contractors may get a sniff of oil/gas even though are only doing the casing.
Just my thoughts but don't downplay the significance of the drill finally hitting the dirt.
