What data source? Out of all the data out there I would trust short stats the least. What about intraday shorts? Or shorts held over one to a few days? Are short stats only compiled from voluntary reporting? And if the reporting were compulsory, does the duration of short term shorts affect whether they are reportable? i.e. the shorts are opened and closed before meeting reporting thresholds.
