yep well said, I’m going to put a significant amount of time to trying to find the goldilocks exit but it really does seem like the most difficult part. Each stock seems to be different. And I’m with you there, I’ve traded most of these stocks without really capitalising on the full move.
an interesting note is that these weekly trades take a year to play out meaning there is a CGT discount in play, which with 1000%+ trades is a fair reduction in tax
ive come to the same conclusion with that thread, I’ve seen quite a few people who just take the approach of, “it’s fallen a bit time to buy”
these trades as you pointed out are quite rare, most stocks I’ve looked at have only had one cycle that have suited this strategy in their lifetime, but you only need a couple a year and it’s enough
