Yeah, I'm just thinking in terms of setting up a coded system, the rules need to be 100% the same for every setup, might not be an issue for discretionary trading, but this will be my next systems project. If we can't differentiate between the chop and a valid signal that is easily identifiable off the chart, then that's a problem for me lol. I'll need some type of filter that only occurs for the trades we are chasing.
