Didn't keep a close enough eye on GLN, noticed it's now $1.80.
It seems that so long the sp is trending above the 65 ema (give or take the occasional dip below it, followed by a strong reversal back to 65 ema), every macd cross is a trade, especially the ones that crosses above the axis line, those crosses are associated with the biggest run.
A pre-set % target (different % for individual stocks) seems to be a good exit strategy for most stocks for these trend trades, maybe because they seemingly trend up in a defined channel
For example for QPM:
There has been 9 such trades since August 2020 (when the trend began)
GRV had 10 such trades!
For every dollar invested, assuming it's compounded fully.
40% gain for each trade (entirely possible as they range between 40-200%) = 1x1.4^9 = 2000% (300% more than the entire cumulative uptrend)
50% gain (with close monitoring) = 1.5^9 = 3800%
I guess the trick is to find such a stock in it's early stages and stick firmly to the rules
