The fact that the bad publicity has created attention is good because soon when the narrative shifts to "oh, wait, they actually do have some substance in what they're doing" the aforementioned hatchet job will seem like a little misunderstanding. Nonetheless, more people are aware of the company now, hence the statement: no such thing as bad publicity.
