I don’t mind them attending the odd, well chosen event, but there are literally hundreds of events internationally and having looked at the attendees I don’t think the Miami event was valuable to TMG or it’s shareholders.
I’ve worked in oil & gas and mining for many years and I’ve seen business development teams attend a multitude of events and believe me, they are not cheap!!! Never once have I seen any dollar value to the company as a result of our attendance, some costing well over $100k with stands and advertising etc.
i believe that in the antimony market its all about the size and quality of your deposit (if not yet it will be!) Some companies have also increased their SP through marketing and PR also but if you look at Perpetua Resources recent SP action it is evident that you’d better not mislead investors! At the end of the day it will come down to quality and ability to mine before everyone discovers Antimony and they will, now that it is commercially viable.
