I had to rewrite my above post because I forgot to qualify if the short sellers have a collective motive.
Horizon shorts for Thursday 17th 183,985 and volume traded 6,710,236 is 2.74%.
If the short sellers intention is to manipulate the SP lower to facilitate accumulation by associates, I wonder if is is possible to pull the short sell order if a genuine seller lists a sale at that price. If that is possible the short seller accomplished his goal and can continue without recording a short sales throughout the day. So maybe short sell pressure can be exerted without actually selling. I don't know if that makes sense or if it is even possible but if it is then these actual short sell numbers are a fiction.
