I think being excited and grateful for a company like Spartan that for many of us is our best ever investment can be misconstrued as falling in love or cheerleading. It’s hard to be critical when you’re making money. When SPR was $1.60, in hindsight it would have been a master stroke to sell and buy back at $1.30. But that being said it could just as easily have gone up to $1.90 on the back of some good news. Where falling in love becomes an issue is when you become delusional and ignore red flags because you’ve bought into a false narrative. I see this all the time on HotCopper but I’m unaware of it happening here. Maybe I’m delusional and this post is a perfect example, that’s the trouble with being delusional.
