just in SH - I did not realise contango for gold futures was at a 20 year high even with spot POG at record high. I had noticed gold futures for a few years ahead were around $2,800+. Lots of traders have a bullish outlook for POG. And 20 years ago was before the huge move upwards in POG so hopefully that looks like a good omen.

The opposite is called backwardation.
