Common Gaps, Runaway Gaps, Exhaustion Gaps, Breakaway Gaps. Ever herd of these? And all calculated on closes of one day and the openings on the next day.
If you ever advance into shorter time frame trading (daily, 2-4 days) then a Gap open either way on your designated trading stocks is a vital tool of information that is pivotal to success. Your current thinking is never going to allow that information to benefit you. Shame.
Anyway, there are far more important indicators to monitor than a gap as it's just a technical level to clean up and in most cases has zero to do with momentum or support.
Currently there's a little downtrend channel formed which has always happened with this stock. You can easily see that you could duplicate this channel many times over the past months. Coming out of it has always offered a nice trade so something to watch for. IMO. MACD acts as a nice tour guide for this and easy to monitor.
Check out the nice levels of volume forming, gotta keep em level!
