You could say that at the moment probably for about 80% of listed stocks.
WOR trading on a FY 2009 PE of about 7 at the moment, which is about fair value for the current market.
I hold NMS, which is currently trading on a PE of 3.5 based on FY 2009 forecasts, but in a recent Patersons update, they had a price target of 59 cents, which would put them on a PE of about 8, which is only just above where WOR is right now.
As market confidence returns, earnings multiples should recover.
