I still do not think this has anything to do with Aussie GDP.
The USA is where the money is and post tech-bubble that money is thinner on the ground. (A fundamental issue if we call it that) - The lack of investor sentiment due to tightened market conditions there will affect the price of this stock.

All that said...
The 80c gap fill is still a real concern.
If you are not considered of this, then you're investing with blinders on.
Not every gap fills...but it depends on the time scale.
