[Dow Jones] Telstra (TLS.AU) down 0.6% at A$3.13, shies off minor resistance at A$3.20, but might have formed longer-term bottom at A$2.93 last week, according to Dow Jones Newswires technical analysis. TLS last week formed bullish hammer pattern on weekly charts, after meeting A$3.03 target of symmetrical triangle pattern. High volume at the low supports bullish view. Expect support to form at A$3.07 for eventual break of A$3.20, which could test resistance at A$3.29 and potentially fill the price gap to A$3.34. Reaction to resistance from Dec 2008 low at A$3.36 could influence longer-term direction. Traders say an institional investor recently sold 200 million shares, or 1.6% of the company, potentially related to loss of investment mandate or similar forced selling. (DWR)
