Hi westcott, yes manipulation and it's seems to have done it's job of peeving a lot of shareholders (retail) off and they have sold off to what seems like greener pastures...
I have done so too (reduced UMC holding)... 1 for 1 on another co with a good +25% profit so could not refuse... long term investment with this one as well... however still holding a reasonable amount in UMC.
