A little off topic sorry guys but since you brung it up croc and I love psychology I have to say the definition you posted is wrong and logically impossible, how can one be In denial of something that is pushed out of their consciousness ?
If the very thing they are denying no longer exists within there mind then how can they deny it ?
The second definition I feel you perhaps just wrote yourself, denial is a conscious effort, one that has been received, analysed and then said person has consciously made the effort to ignore the information even though they are aware it is in fact correct.
