“By using MACD in a weekly chart, how far are you looking over your shoulder?”

I use the defaults of 12 and 26 weeks for fast and slow MA,s.
i have tried 5 and 15 to see if it signals a trend change more quickly but that gives a few false starts or may even turn negative when an uptrend is just pausing, not actually turning down .
12 and 26 have worked well for Imu , a bullish MACD crossover signal giving 100 % to 200 % gains in 4 to 7 weeks on multiple occasions. And interestingly the two bearish crossover signals in the last two years both came when the price closed below 2.8 from higher highs. So last weeks close back above 2.8, which had been a resistance level respected twice already on the way up, should be seen technically as the confirmation signal this has turned back up.
Lets watch history repeat again .
