Personally I think those who lend them the shares are quite happy to make a just % better than the Westpac fixed deposit, say for argument sake 10% over 6 weeks; ie, 90% pa versus 1% from WPA or CBA ? Haven’t used calculator. Guesstimate only
So why not for fun or for what ever purposes
Thats guaranteed easy money. I don’t mean whoever are the lenders “ need” the additional $$$, but the so called rich think in the same way as the not so fortunate Getting the extra dollar. One to put food on the table for kids, The HNWI, high net worth individual, wants that extra $ too but for dif purposes
