    Both the long term ascending resistance, and long term ascending support lines have been broken through.

    To me this signals that the "rising bear wedge" chapter of 2009 is over, and that a new pattern is possibly forming. Maybe a Heads and Shoulders?

    It was a good steady rise while it lasted.

    Looking at this time last year though, it looked as though people were waiting until the start of the financial year before they took their profits, possibly for tax efficiency, and their (correct) outlook for the rest of 2008.

    Just a theory, but maybe the long term bottom pickers of November 2008, waited again for July 1 to take their profits.

    My 2 cents.
