Do you follow any particular style of charting lelelala? I don't know how far down the road you are and hope I'm not telling you how to suck eggs, so won't go into too much detail. But if your new to charting I would say it doesn't matter which platform you get at the moment, it is more important to invest your time into learning your trade... I can give you the names of a few books to get you started, they are great for beginners and after you read them you will know which areas you are drawn to and the subsequent texts should present themselves to you. Plenty of unselfish chart followers on hot copper will help you out when you ask the right questions, and even a few chart masters hidden within hot copper that you will get a lot out of as you begin to find your way...
Many, many different styles out there though, so you need to figure out what area you are drawn to and then learn how to trade it safely and with capital preservation in mind...
If you can give a quick rundown on what area you might be interested in, then someone here should be able to point you in the right direction.
