This is a good example of why charting gets a bad name, there's no mathematical basis for the decision to use log. It would be like saying I'll chart something in log base 8 because it puts a move into better perspective.
Their example and the MAK retracement aren't even 1 order of magnitude yet you're meant to go to a log scale because it's "useful".
I'll get off my soap box and read the MAK preso.
