Billy it is funny you should mention the Bre-X scandal. It caused all the small gold junior mining companies to tumble and many never recovered - including this very company Argosy Minerals. The stock was in the $2 to 3$ range when the scandal hit - I was an investor in Argosy back in 1997 when it was still a Canadian company. They never did actually mine any gold. The history of Argosy is comical to say the least. Attempts at nickel mines in New Caledonia and later in Burundi (the biggest nickel deposit on earth). Never mined a thing in its 30 year history. Total incompetence and bad luck. Burundi reneged on its contract and Argosy sank from over $1.00 to a few cents.

This is different now though. New ownership and all. Looks like Argosy will finally produce something!! A first in its 30 years. Thank God the old management is gone.
