AMP has yet to come clean with the internal mismanagement and failure to comply with corporate governance issues of the past 8 years before anyone can point to a truly stable company where share price increases are reflective of the companies performance.

AMP has not yet arraived at the stage where it will do anything remotely like the required disclosures it should make. Instead it will rely on those ommissions in the Corporations Acts which are silent on the requirements which majority of large corporations rely on to hide their incompetance.

AMP still has skeletons ratling in its closets. There are brokers, banks and other institutions that have reason to support if not deliberately aid in elevating AMP's share price to current levels. Much of this I believe is by way of adjustments rather than pure market sentiment. Unless of course you accept the proposition that majority shareholders and institutions constitutue the market.

They have still not disclosed in proper terms, the reasons their property portfolios were disposed off at such fire sale prices and so quickly as well.
