FYI, charlie aitken from under the southern cross just took QBE off his top 100 list, citing concerns on upcoming results and also possible blowout of their exposure in the BP oil leak disaster ("gut feeling"). is this a case of BUY on rumour sell on facts?
however, QBE today confirmed that exposure to the transatlantic oil leak is as per ann on 28 april (1 month ago!) - however whats puzzling is the last line which said "although the scale of the incident continues to expand, QBE's net exposure is modest. "
anyone know what MODEST means?
