We probably all have our own understanding of what the various terms mean, and they may differ. For what its worth my understanding is -
- Short Term buy means it is likely to outperform soon but will not necessarily continue to be a good long term performer
- Long Term buy means it is likely to be a good solid long term stock with nice future growth but don't expect it to shoot up quickly

When I rated it both ST buy and LT buy it is because I expect it to recover to the $14/$15 area soon and also be a solid long term performer as the current 'disaster cluster' gives way to a more normal long term claims environment.
