And to reply to "It wouldn't have made it this far if it didn't" you answered for me with your next line about faith healing. Just because it has a following, doesn't make it justified. "Perceived" validity is enough, which is why some people swear they have a lucky pair of underpants.

And Dingo, I'm not doubting your skill as a trader. But you don't look at charts alone. There are many other factors that you research, and if the chart said prices would go up but you knew they were in serious financial trouble, I know what you would do.
