I had a work mate 20 years ago who was planning on his investment in Telstra being the foundation of his funds for his future house. Telstra was going ok at the time and he poured more money into it. TLS has been pretty much a slow and painful downhill run since. And that is a so called blue chip stock. Think he moved overseas and was on a pretty fat salary so in the end it probably didn't matter too much.
Yours is a high risk strategy.
