Charts don't lie,
Telstra was $3.712 per share on the 8th January 2018, today after losing another $0.05 off its share price it sits at a very concerning $3.10 per share.
The chart shows a landslide decline during the period of 8th January 2018 thru to today and there is absolutely no reason why this trend will not worsen!
The current CEO has been in charge of this landslide and unfortunately if we have a look at what the share price was when he took the helm then this scenario is a far more serious concern.
On top of this we have a cut in the dividend rate under his guidance so why would anyone stay a shareholder given Telstra's performance over the past 12 months or so?
After checking Telstra's performance chart today I decided that there is no point sitting here watching my investment continue to decline as it is pretty obvious that the down trend will only worsen so I'm selling tomorrow morning.
I invested in another company that actually pays a better dividend than Telstra and their share price has risen 52%.
I may re enter Telstra down the track but not whilst this current CEO remains in the job.
