Thanks for your post @mirren, I was looking at my charts and couldn't identify the gap that @slick was referring to. With my very limited knowledge of charting, I believed the candle wicks were considered as having closed price gaps whenever the previous gap price was achieved... However reading slick's post, I get the impression that this may not typically be the case, though I note from your comment in contrast, 'However it is closed by the wicks technically', that this could be a point of conjecture...
