"TA precepts are more frequently challenged by manipulation", I'm really glad you have stated that madmacs, as in my experience it has been getting much more blatant over the years. Obviously different patterns and TA signals can be programmed into the algos to deliberately set off the stops etc.

TA breakout signals that worked brilliantly 20 years ago can as often as not be faded these days with relatively small stops.

To me the reality of you thinking they are out to get you in TA these days is true, they are out to get you, as "they" know where the stops are likely to be placed, and where the TA signals are. I would not be surprised to see a break of 40c here, just to hit the stops, before bouncing back the other way. I'll bet it would be on huge volume as well as the TA 'sell' signal gets hit.
