Stockcharts has all the educational material on charting you could ever need.
Also FINVIZ offers excellent screeners and technical pattern analysis.
Don't get caught up on trying to chart 100 different stocks, just focus on 10 or 20 favoruties, get to know their price behaviour and charting their patterns.
US stocks (MC 2bn+) have much higher volume,beta and far greater selection to choose from than ASX listed.
Also don't bother trying to chart penny stocks, complete waste of time. Stick with small selection of mid caps (stocks MC 2bn+) or higher.
