It was interesting watching the open today. Price dropped right down by 2 rogue sell orders of exactly 10k and 20k units. Only 31k showing as to be traded at open on the sell side to be sold on open but around 150k on the buy side.
I am assuming these 2 rogue sell orders suppressed the price enough to trigger a bunch of stop losses which weren't showing in the depth table? I guess the net result is that someone sold 30k units to suppress the open price, but that same person picked up a significantly larger volume at the same time for a net increase in their holding at below what the open price otherwise would have been.
Does this make sense? Or am I becoming another HC conspiracy theorist?
